    ICICI Lombard shares down 0.2% as Sensex rises

    Back home a gradual easing of lockdown measures in major global economies lifted domestic equity benchmarks for the third session in a row.
    Shares of General Insurance Company Ltd. fell 0.2 per cent to Rs 1531.85 in Thursday's session as of 01:15PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 390.11 points higher at 52696.19.

    Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 1625.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 1201.0 on NSE. Around 6746 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:15PM (IST).

    The stock opened at Rs 1535.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1545.0 and Rs 1520.95 during the session so far. The stock quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 47.29, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 32.4 and price to book value (PB) of 8.58, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 20.92.

    Promoter/ FII Holding
    The promoters held 51.88 per cent stake in the company as of June 24, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 29.9 per cent and 9.85 per cent, respectively.

    With a market capitalisation of Rs 69662.06 crore, the company operates in the Insurance - Non Life industry. For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 920.72 crore, up 103.68 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 452.05 crore and up 55.11 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 345.68 crore for the latest quarter, up 22.61 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

    The relative strength index (RSI) of the stock stands at 61.58. The RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Traditionally, it is considered overbought condition when the RSI value is above 70 and oversold condition when it is below 30.
