TIM to bring gigabit fibre to 11,000 homes in Lanciano

Wednesday 23 June 2021 | 10:52 CET | News
Telecom Italia (TIM) has announced an agreement to extend its fibre to the home network to Lanciano in the central Abruzzo region in a total investment of EUR 3.5 million. The company said the build will eventually enable residents in around 11,000 homes to access the internet at download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, up from the current maximum of 200 Mbps. TIM's existing FTTC network in Lanciano covers around 13,500 homes, equivalent to 95 percent of the town's lines.
