Whether it was careless or carefree, it doesn't matter as long as Rishabh Pant (28* off 48) stays in the middle along with Ravindra Jadeja (12 off 20).

India goes to lunch with 130 on board with a loss of 5 wickets. A session that has belonged to New Zealand with Kyle Jamieson taking crucial wickets of India's talisman Virat Kohli (13 off 29) and then Cheteshwar Pujara (15 off 80). Ajinka Rahane (15 off 40) then tried to fish down the leg side and was caught behind by BJ Watling, who's playing his last match, on the bowling of Trent Boult. New Zealand could have had Rishabh Pant too but he was dropped in the slips by Tim Southee.

India's lead is now 98 with both Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant looking to stretch the lead as much as possible, while killing time too. The game is poised with two sessions to go.
