COVID Vaccination: Tripura's Gomati District performing with great effort to complete vaccination target for all

Udaipur, Jun 23 (UNI) The North-eastern state Tripura, where the first COVID-19 case detected in Gomati District during the first wave last year, the district has reported that a total of 20309 numbers vaccination completed by the district health department on Tuesday itself.

Sharing this information a report of the health department published by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Gomati District, Tripura.

The report reveals that a total of 205622 numbers target vaccination for 18-44 age group in the district which includes 129282 numbers under Udaipur subdivision, Amarpur subdivision 49689 numbers and Karbook subdivision targeted a total of 26651 numbers vaccination.

On Tuesday, the first dose vaccination of COVID-19 for people under age group 18-44 years has completed 17300 numbers where Udaipur Subdivision counts Killa, Matabari, Kakraban, Tepaniya and Udaipur Municipal areas completed the highest vaccination as 12943 numbers followed by Karbook subdivision counts Karbook and Silachari block areas completed 2782 numbers vaccination and Amarpur subdivision counts Ompi, Amarpur and Amarpur Nagar Panchayat areas completed 1575 numbers vaccination.

The cumulative achievement in case of first dose completion of vaccination under the age group 18-44 years is 59388 numbers in Gomati District which includes Udaipur Subdivision - 42257, Amarpur-12151 and Karbook-4980.

The percentage achievement of first dose completion of vaccination for different age groups in Gomati District reported 29 per cent under the age group18-44 years, 71 per cent under 45-59 years and 62 per cent in case of 60 plus years age people.

The percentage achievement in case of second dose completion of vaccination reported 31 per cent under the age group 45-59 years and 37 per cent completion for the people of sixty years and above age group people.

Kunaban Sub Centre achieved congratulations on Tuesday from the health department in Gomati District for vaccinating 529 numbers of people as highest in a single day among all the vaccination centres in Gomati District.

The sources of the health department in Gomati District said all types of preparation had taken by the

health department to complete vaccination for all as early as possible.

Referring to the order given by high officials, the Government of Tripura, the health department is taking all the necessary steps to combat the third wave of COVID-19, said the official source of district administration in course of conversation with Kiran Bhowmik of UNI Stinger in Tripura.
