You might be looking to buy an Apple TV so that you can watch Apple's new TV+ shows on your TV, or perhaps you are looking for a way to stream content from your iPhone or iPad to your TV screen. Whatever your reason to buy an Apple TV, you probably won't want to pay full price - with the cheapest Apple TV starting at £139.
Luckily for you, we have pulled together the best Apple TV deals so that you can be sure you aren't paying more than you have too.

What you need to know
In May 2021 Apple started shipping a brand new 6th-generation Apple TV 4K. It also started selling the existing Apple TV HD model with a new remote. Read about the new Apple TV.
With that in mind, it should be a good time to buy an Apple TV - there's no danger that you will buy one and then have Apple release a new model a month later. It's also an ideal time to get a discount on one of the older models, should any resellers have one in stock.
But you should be aware that when Apple introduced the new Apple TV 4K for 2021 it reduced the price by £10 compared to the older model (at least in the UK). So do check that the price advertised is really a good deal compared to the new model. You should also check that it is the 2021 Apple TV 4K and not the 2017 Apple TV 4K.
The Apple TV HD also saw a £10 discount in the UK. We'll include all the information below to help you spot a good deal.
We were hoping that Apple would introduce a smaller and cheaper Apple TV mini, but unfortunately, that wasn't to be. However, you should be aware that Apple isn't the only company selling streaming devices that work with the Apple TV app and allow for AirPlay streaming from the iPhone and iPad.
The Amazon Fire TV Stick and Roku devices, as well as some smart TVs, include the Apple TV app so you will be able to tune into Apple's streaming service. Best Apple TV deals right now
We'll split these deals up so that you can tell which are for which Apple TV model, especially since it's so confusing that the 5th and 6th generation Apple TV are both called the Apple TV 4K.

There are currently no deals on the new 2021 Apple TV, everyone we are aware of is selling it at £169, which is Apple's price.

Best bundles - get Apple TV for free
Another thing to look out for is when companies offer an Apple TV as part of a subscription deal, such as this Vodafone bundle where you can get an Apple TV 4K with their broadband offering - note that this may be the 5th generation model though.
How much does an Apple TV cost?
Apple updated the Apple TV in April 2021 and started shipping units in May 2021. Apple also continues to sell an old 2015 Apple TV HD model.
In the past, Apple has sold the Apple TV for as little as £70/$99. But currently, the prices are a lot higher. Here are the prices Apple sells its Apple TV for:
- Apple TV HD, 32GB 2015, £139/$149
- Apple TV 4K, 32GB 2021, £169/$179
- Apple TV 4K, 64GB 2021, £189/$199
Those prices are £10 less than they were before April 2021, at least in the UK.
Despite the £10 price drop, Apple's price is quite high, at least in comparison with other similar media streamers, such as the Amazon Fire TV, which normally costs £39.99, but we've previously seen it on sale for £19.99, and can also stream Apple's new shows. Get a Fire TV Stick from Amazon here.
Alternatively, you could get a Roku streaming player and stream Apple TV+ on that. A Roku Express normally costs £29.99, but is currently reduced to £27.99.
How to get an Apple TV for free
Some companies are offering an Apple TV as part of their broadband package.
Vodafone is offering a broadband deal that includes a free Apple TV 4K. You can check out the deal here. Along with the free Apple TV you get up to 100Mbps average download speeds, unlimited broadband usage, and unlimited phone calls from £43/month.
EE also has home broadband plans that include Apple TV 4K. From £36 a month you can get an Apple TV 4K, unlimited broadband with an average speed of 10Mbps, 5GB mobile data and access to BT Sport. Details here.
Of course, if you purchase, or are given, an Apple TV you will be able to sign up for a years worth of Apple TV+ shows for free.

The 2021 32GB version of the Apple TV 4K is sold by Apple for £169/$179.

Apple TV Alternative deals
You don't need to have an Apple TV to watch things you have bought from the iTunes Store or TV+ programmes. You could buy an Amazon Fire TV Stick, a Roku device, or even a smart TV.
Amazon Fire TV
It might be Amazon's answer to TV streaming, but you can get the Apple TV app on the Amazon Fire TV devices - and they are a lot cheaper than the Apple TV.
Roku
Similarly, the Roku Streaming Stick can play Apple TV+ shows and other Apple content, and is often discounted.

Refurbished Apple TV deals
You may also be able to pick up a refurbished Apple TV at a discount from Apple. Right now you can get a refurbished Apple TV HD on Apple's Refurbished Store for £119.
