The MulteFire Alliance (MFA) has expanded its mission, saying it will now provide to companies seeking to deploy their own 5G private network using unlicensed, shared and locally licensed spectrum. The MFA plans to deliver Uni5G Technology Blueprints to different industry sectors, based on 3GPP 5G specifications. The alliance will also develop best practices and deployment guides, including industry resources on understanding all available spectrum options for 5G private networks. The first Uni5G Technology Blueprint will become available in the fourth quarter of this year.
