MARGHERITA, June 22: In view of the ongoing mega vaccination drive that was flagged off in the state recently, guardian minister for Tinsukia Atul Bora visited the designated vaccination centres in Town High School in Margherita, No.1 Golai Hindi LP School in Digboi and Lions Club in Digboi. MP Rameswar Teli, AL Gyani, guardian secretary, Tinsukia and Pawar Narsing Sambhaji, deputy commissioner, Tinsukia also accompanied him in his visits.
The minister was briefed about the on-going vaccination drive and all the Covid preparedness that is being undertaken in the sub-division by Margherita ADC i/c Palash Rajkumar Ahom.
The minister also discussed the prevailing conditions with the health officials of the region and asked them to ramp up the work by achieving daily targets. Currently, 47 vaccination centres are running the drive in almost all pockets of the sub-division in a brisk manner, adhering to all the Covid Protocols that are defined.
