Minister N Rangasamy has prepared the list of members to be inducted into his ministry, including two MLAs of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He submitted the list to Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Wednesday.
The cabinet formation in the Union Territory was finalised with the preparation of this new list. AINRC and BJP formed the NDA government in the assembly elections held on April 6 in the Union Territory.
The saffron party had initially demanded that one of its MLAs be made Deputy Chief Minister, but later they was settled for the post of Speaker. This was the reason for a delay in process of cabinet formation.
