Imphal, June 22 2021: A middle aged man succumbed to his injuries this evening after he met with an accident at Kwakeithel crossing.

According to police, Thokchom Bishambor (53) from Sagolband Tera Tongbram Leikai was heading towards Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai when his motorcycle (Hero Honda Splendour) collided with an ambulance van (Tata Winger) at around 4 pm.

Following the accident, he was rushed to RIMS but succumbed to his injuries at around 7 pm.

The body has been kept at RIMS mortuary and a case has been taken up at Imphal Police Station.
