Taking a lead in administering Covid vaccine in villages, Hoshiarpur district ensured 100 per cent vaccination in 162 villages till Tuesday evening under Mission Fateh-II.

Lauding the role of panchayats and efforts made by teams of the Health Department to achieve 100 per cent vaccination in 162 villages within a short period, Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said the administration had undertaken the vaccination drive at a large scale to contain the pandemic. She said so far, 5,20,337 doses of vaccine had been given to eligible beneficiaries in the district.

She said 19,742 doses had been administered today itself while the administration was also holding special camps in rural and urban areas to cover maximum beneficiaries.

Riyait said mobile teams were reaching out at homes of beneficiaries to administer doses on their doorsteps. She said residents could contact at WhatsApp number 78146-40600 to get themselves inoculated at their homes.
