    Petronet LNG shares up 0.78% as Nifty gains

    The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 280.0 and low of Rs 207.4.

    Sensex slipped 73 points, or 0.2 per cent, while Nifty added 2 points last week.
    Shares of Ltd. rose 0.78 per cent to Rs 231.85 in Wednesday's trade. It hit an intraday high of Rs 232.35 and low of Rs 230.5, respectively, during the day.

    The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 280.0 and low of Rs 207.4.

    As of 11:07AM (IST), the counter saw total traded volume of 28,646 shares with a traded value of Rs 0.66 crore, according to NSE.

    The stock had closed at Rs 230.05 in the previous session.

    The scrip has declined -1.99 per cent in the past one month till date, while the benchmark BSE Sensex has gained 7.81 per cent during the same period.

    According to exchange data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings (P/E) multiple of 11.84 while price-to-book ratio stood at 2.7. A higher P/E ratio shows that investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations. The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and it reflects the price investors are ready to pay even for no growth in a business.

    The stock belongs to the Gas Storage & Distribution industry.

    Promoters held 50.0 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2021, while FII and MF ownership in the firm stood at 30.49 per cent and 6.3 per cent, respectively.

    The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 7624.47 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, up 2.65 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 7427.9 crore and up 11.89 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 8653.63 crore. Its net profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 637.92 crore, up 70.93 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
