Big Brother Australia star Adriana Fernandez has revealed her secret heartbreak while filming the Channel Seven reality show.
The 53-year-old Sydney stylist found out her father was diagnosed with cancer the day she entered the Big Brother mansion.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia following her eviction this week, Adriana said: 'It was a tough time for me because the day I went in I got told my dad had cancer.'

'I was scared. I had a lot of crazy emotions going through my mind at the time.'

Adriana explained that her mum and dad are such Big Brother fans that they pushed for her to still go on the show and depended on her sister to help her family.

Adriana explained that Big Brother and Shine Australia producers provided the support she needed and were able to give her updates on her father's situation.
Fernandez admitted that despite appearing confident onscreen she was 'absolutely terrified' about her stint on the reality show.
'I was scared about how I was going to be shown on television, how they were going to edit me. Absolutely, I was terrified,' she revealed.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia following her eviction this week, Adriana said: 'It was a tough time for me because the day I went in I got told my dad had cancer'
The Westfields stylist also revealed she packed 30kgs worth of clothing for Big Brother, not knowing she was only allowed to bring in 23kgs.
'I had to cut down 7 kilos out of my bag,' she added.
