19-yr-old orphaned Thane girl gets job

Thane, Jun 22 (UNI) Within couple of days of representing her case with the Maharashtra Minister for Women and Child Welfare Yashomati Thakur, a 19 year old orphaned girl for a job.
Today the girl ( name not not revealed for specific reasons) was given the appointment letter as a Sales Executive in an office.
This is perhaps the first case where an orphan has been given an employment and the girl is still studying for her graduation.

It was during the visit of the Minister the girl narrated her woes to the minister in the presence of the district collector Rajesh Narvekar and with tears in her eyes she informed them that she lost her father some seven years back. Her mother also died due to covid recently and she was hapless and orphaned.

She also told the minister, “ I donot not need money. What I need is a job to pull on.
One of the female journalists of a Marathi Daily Pradnya Mhatre was moved by the narration of the girl and decided to help her out.
The case was referred to the NCP and the General Secretary of the NCP Youth wing state unit and Employment and Self Employment cell of the NCP chief Omkar Mali took up the case personally and ensured that the girl should be given a job for a livelihood.
Finally the girl got the job and the appointment letter was handed over to the girl by NCP Senior leader and MP Supriya Sule.
Said Mali, if we do not not help out such needy persons what is the use of us being in the society and with a commitment I decided to help her and get her a job.
Now now I am satisfied that I of some use to the society.
Also delighted was the journalists Pradnya who said that she could do a bit to the orphaned girl by taking up her case with those who are ever ready to help.

Mali claimed that this is the first ever case within days of representation any orphan gets a job and we act he said.
The Government is formulating a scheme for the orphaned children and the Government of Maharashtra already has a scheme in place where the orphaned children who lost their parents will be given an assistance of Rs. 5 lakhs.
The government is also formulating a scheme to support their education and daily needs with the help of the NGOs and individuals, said the minister during her visit to Thane last week.
