Farmer arrested for growing marijuana in Porbandar

RAJKOT: A farmer in Porbandar was arrested on Sunday night for growing marijuana in his field.
The special operations group (SOG) had received information that the farmer Bharat Teraiya had grown marijuana at his farm at Palkhada village. Police said that Teraiya had grown chillies on his farm but in the centre, he had grown marijuana.
Cops seized 9.3 kg marijuana worth Rs 93,500 from the farm and booked Teraiya under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
