Jefferson County Precinct 4’s summer “Read and Feed” program provides a free lunch for children ages 18 years and younger during summer break.

The program started earlier this month and will from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until July 30.

The meals will be served at the Jefferson County Precinct 4 Service Center, which is located on 7780 Boyt Rd in Beaumont, and at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church, which is located at 3755 Fannett Rd. in Beaumont.

There are no income requirements or registration needed. Meals will be provided for free on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This program is put on in partnership with the Texas Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program.
