A pair of thirsty wedding crashers got more than they bargained for when authorities say they attempted to steal a case of beer from an Ohio couple's reception, resulting in a bloody brew brawl.
The sudsy standoff took place during a wedding celebration at the John Hartz building located at Richland County Fairgrounds in Mansfield on June 19.
According to the county sheriff's department, 22-year-old William Beeson and 29-year-old William Crowl entered the venue uninvited and tried to make away with the beer that was being served.

The newlywed husband, who has not been named, confronted the unwelcome guests, and was allegedly punched by Beeson, reported Fox8.
When wedding guests observed what was happening, they quickly jumped into action and turned the tables on the suspected beer bandits.

Crowl suffered lacerations after being slashes with broken beer bottles, while Beeson got a black eye and sustained other injuries.
When interviewed by deputies, Beeson and Crowl claimed they were attending the draft horse and pony show at the fairgrounds when a wedding guest in a purple dress invited them to the reception, according to WSYX.
The pair argued that they were then attacked without any provocation.
Beeson and Crowl were booked into the county jail on charges of theft, trespassing, and disorderly conduct.
