Sources tell that PM Modi will be taking stock of the economy and will hold series of meetings with his ministers. This is going to be the first such mega meeting that is happening post-second wave of covid-19. 

Sources tell that Prime Minister will be taking stock of the economy and hold performance review meetings with the infrastructure sector. Govt officers from Aviation, power, telecom, petroleum, road, coal, shipping, railways, and officials from Niti Aayog will be a part of this meeting. 

To deal with the Covid crisis, the government announced one of the world`s biggest stimulus packages with a focus on the survival of the business and setting a roadmap for the revival of the economy.

Although a pickup in economic activity has been seen, full recovery remains a major challenge as industries are functioning with lower capacities. Fresh lockdown measures announced by some states due to spurt in Covid cases have thrown up new challenges.
