Staying fit and fab is a must for actors, no matter how hectic the shooting schedule is. Sweating hard and possessing a body to die for, have become a part of the lives of these actors.

Television actress Tina Datta is also a true blue fitness enthusiast and never shies away from flaunting her workout pictures on social media.

On International Yoga Day today, Tina opened up about her mantra of staying fit and how Yoga has helped her achieve a strong alignment between her mind and body.

"I am an ardent yoga lover and practicing it is my sure shot mantra of staying fit. After being introduced to the practice, there was no looking back for me as it changed my life and my physical and mental transformation in many ways, which I am so grateful for," she said.

Talking about how yoga has helped her, the 'Uttaran' actress said, "Yoga has proved to be extremely beneficial for me in many ways. It has helped me achieve a strong alignment between my mind and body. It has also given me a new sense of calm and composure which was honestly hard to achieve before I began with the practice."

"For me, practicing yoga during the Covid-induced lockdown was a great replacement for gyms and outdoor exercises. While yoga definitely does wonders for the mind, it was a great way of increasing my body's flexibility. It proved to be a great energy booster and it helped me strengthen my muscles in ways which only enhanced my body," she added.

"I can vouch for the fact that yoga has helped me overall to take care of my mental and physical wellbeing and has become a very integral part of my life," she said.

On the professional front, Tina was last seen in the web series 'Naxalbari' which also starred Rajeev Khandelwal and Sreejita De in lead roles.
