UoH today invites applications for admission to 117 courses

Hyderabad: As of Monday, the University of Hyderabad (UoH) is applying for admission to as many as 117 courses, including integrated, postgraduate and PhD programs. The application process will be open from 21 June to 20 July.

The application can be submitted online from Monday. 2328 seats are offered for admission to 117 courses. These include 17 integrated courses, 46 PG courses, 10 M.Tech and 44 PhD programs.

The university is also offering three new courses this year – MTech (modeling and simulation), MPA (music) and a certificate course in publishing.

The entrance exams for admission will be held during August / September 2021 at 39 centers across the country. However, the university will not write its entrance examination at the centers where the applications are less than 300.

Admission to the MCA course will be based on NIMCET scores. Admission to the nine MTech courses takes place through central counseling from MTech (CCMT) of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Admission to 5-year Integrated MTech (Computer Science) takes place through the central award board (CSAB) of JEE.

In addition, admission to MBA will be through CAT score; MSc Biotechnology is offered by GAT-B through RCB Faridabad and MTech (modeling and simulation) through GATE scores.

Last year, amid the first wave of COVID-19 the UoH received a record 62,233 applications for 2,456 seats in 132 postgraduate and research programs. Although an almost equal number of men and women count among the applications, 11 candidates identified themselves as transgender.
