One dead after East Price Hill triple shooting, police say

Police responded to a report of a triple shooting Monday in East Price Hill.

One man is dead and two others are in the hospital after a triple shooting in East Price Hill Monday morning, police said.

Around 11 a.m., officers responded to the corner of W. Eighth Street and McPherson Avenue and located the victims. All were hospitalized following the shooting, police said.

Just after 12:30 p.m., police said one of the victims had died, another had suffered life-threatening injuries, but was in stable condition. The third victim's injuries were not life-threatening, officials said.

Captain David Johnson said all the victims were in their late teens or early 20s and weapons were recovered at the scene.

Police have not released any details about possible suspects in the shooting. Investigators are asking anyone with any information about the incident to call CrimeStoppers at 513-352-3040.

This makes the fifth shooting with multiple victims this month in Cincinnati. There was another triple shooting in South Cumminsville Sunday, two quadruple shootings on June 12 and 17, and two double shooting on June 1.

According to city data and Enquirer research at least 182 people have been shot so far this year, compared to 216 during the same period last year.

Monday's shooting bring the total number people shot in East Price Hill to nine this year. Three of those victims died. This time last year, 11 people had been shot in the neighborhood and one of those victims died.
