AYUSH doctors can prescribe allopathic medicines during emergency: Dr Harak Singh Rawat

On International Yoga Day, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat and AYUSH Minister Harak Singh Rawat practiced yoga at Ayurvedic College, Harrawala.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Panchkarma and Yoga centers would be set up in the hotels of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Limited (GMVN) on Chardham Yatra routes including Rishikesh, Haridwar, Nainital.

Ayush doctor will be able to prescribe allopathic medicine during emergency

On this occasion, AYUSH Minister Harak Singh announced that AYUSH doctors would be able to prescribe allopathic medicine in government ayurvedic hospitals during emergency. After this announcement of the Ayush Minister, now Ayurvedic doctors will be able to prescribe allopathic medicines. Although  a government order is yet to be passed in this regard.

AYUSH Minister Harak Singh informed about the orders issued by the Chief Minister on International Yoga Day.

Orders issued by Chief Minister:
– Approved the diploma course degree course of yoga in Uttarakhand Ayurvedic University
– Announcement of Auditorium for Yoga and other programs in Ayurvedic Vishwavidyalaya
– Approval of ten crores from the Development Fund of Ayurvedic University for International Ayurvedic Research Institute at Charak Danda, Kotdwar.
– Announcement to open 25 beds in district headquarters and 15 bed Ayurvedic hospitals at tehsil level
– Announcement to set up hundred yoga and wellness centers in remote areas, 50 wellness centers will be set up in the first phase
– Announcement to open India’s first Ayurvedic Cancer Institute in Gurukul Kangri
– On the lines of Panchakarma in Kerala, the government will pursue Marma therapy as a medical system in Uttarakhand.
