Arsenal, Chelsea interested in Isak
The European Championships offer an opportunity for supporters to see plenty of players from other countries and leagues that they would not typically see.
This is not just restricted to the fans and it is an opportunity for the players to put themselves on a different level than they are typically seen for their club sides and therefore making them more attractive in the transfer window.
Sweden striker Alexander Isak was already an exciting talent at Real Sociedad before showcasing his talents at Euro 2020. However, what he has displayed so far has done little to diminish the hype surrounding him, if anything it has grown.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea have been credited with an interest in the former Borussia Dortmund striker and could look to move for the player if his strong performances continue to impress at the competition. His performances for Sociedad alone should be enough already to entice.

Sociedad buyout the Dortmund buy-back
One of the problems with any prospective deal for Isak would have been the buy-back clause that Borussia Dortmund inserted into the original deal which saw him join the Spanish club.
However, Real Sociedad are preparing for this by trying to agree a deal with Dortmund to remove this clause.
This would then allow Sociedad much more control over negotiations for the player and demand closer to, if not the full, 60 release clause. Recently they have made a breakthrough confirmed by Dortmund.
“We have reached an agreement in principle with Real Sociedad to remove the buy-back option,” said BVB sporting director Michael Zorc.
The figure is not yet known however considering that Dortmund could have chosen to acquire Isak and then sell him on themselves for a considerable profit, it is likely safe to assume it did not come cheap.
Arsenal and Chelsea will now not need to worry about possible negotiations for Isak being affected by Dortmund swooping in for the Swede.
Arsenal though, should they push for the player, will need to move on Alexandre Lacazette first. The Frenchman has been referenced as a necessary departure in their possible move for Frankfurt’s Andre Silva. This would also apply for Isak.
