Monsoon Update: Heavy rain warning in UP-Bihar-Uttarakhand today, know the weather condition of other states including Delhi

Monsoon 2021 has arrived in most parts of the country these days. Monsoon rains are falling from the mountains to the plains. Rivers are in spate due to rain in some states including UP, Uttarakhand, and Bihar. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted bad weather and rain in most cities of some states including UP, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana on Sunday.

Monsoon has advanced towards the rest of the North Arabian Sea, Saurashtra, and Gujarat, the entire Kutch region as well as some parts of Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the conditions are not favorable for the monsoon to reach Delhi. In such a situation, there may be a delay in the arrival of the monsoon to Delhi. However, it is raining heavily in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Rajasthan. Incessant rains have wreaked havoc in Uttarakhand. Contact with many villages has been cut. Many national and state highways have also been closed at some places. Work is on to move people to safer places.

It is going to rain in Delhi-NCR

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in South, East, and Northeast Delhi in the next two hours. There is also a possibility of rain in Ghaziabad, Hindon Air Force Station, Indirapuram, Noida, Greater Noida, Dadri, Secunderabad, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Khurji.

Where will it rain today?

According to the India Meteorological Department, on June 19, there is a possibility of lightning on the ground with moderate to severe thunderstorms in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. The Meteorological Department has warned that people and animals living outside could be harmed. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rains in most areas of eastern UP on Saturday, June 19. Light to moderate rain will continue in the entire state till June 21.

Heavy rain warning for next 2-3 days in these states

A trough has formed between West Rajasthan and Northeast Bay of Bengal across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, South Bihar, Jharkhand, and Gangetic West Bengal. This trough is passing through low pressure over Uttar Pradesh. Due to the influence of a Low-Pressure Area over Southwest Bihar and adjoining South-East Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and a Mid-Level Cyclonic Circulation over South Bangladesh during the next 2-3 days, Bihar, Jharkhand, Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur over West Bengal and Sikkim, East Uttar Pradesh.

There will be rain in these districts of Bihar even today, IMD issued a yellow alert

Rain will continue in the entire state including Bihar's capital Patna. This situation will continue for the next two days. According to the Meteorological Department, every part of the state received light and moderate rains on Saturday. A yellow alert has been issued for the districts of North West Bihar for Sunday. Heavy rain is very likely over West Champaran, Siwan, Saran, East Champaran, and Gopalganj. Apart from this, a yellow alert has also been issued in the districts of South East Bihar and North Central Bihar. There is a possibility of above-normal rain in Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Sheohar, and Samastipur.

Heavy rains in Uttarakhand, rivers in spate; people being sent to a safe place

Due to continuous rain in the mountains for the last 4 days, life is disturbed in most areas of Uttarakhand. In many places, the rain has now taken the form of a disaster. Roads have been closed at places. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain till Monday 22 June. Disaster Management Secretary SA Murugesan has alerted all the district magistrates. According to Haridwar district's ADM KK Mishra, people living in areas connected with Ganga have been sent to safer places. Due to the rising water in Alaknanda, the Dhari Devi temple on Badrinath highway near Srinagar Garhwal is also getting engulfed in the spate of the river. Stones are falling from the hill in Kaudiya and Kshetrapal. The Karnprayag-Tharali motorway, the highway connecting the Kumaon region, is also closed at many places. Heavy rain may occur in many districts of the state on Sunday as well. The Meteorological Center has predicted heavy rain at many places in these districts. At the same time, in some other areas, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning and strong showers.

Chance of rain in Rajasthan today

Southwest Monsoon has advanced further in Rajasthan in the last 24 hours and due to its effect, many areas are receiving rain. A spokesperson of the Meteorological Center Jaipur said that the northern boundary of the Southwest Monsoon passed through Barmer, Bhilwara, and Dholpur in Rajasthan on Saturday. Due to this, the rain will occur in most parts of the state on Sunday as well and a drop in temperature will be recorded.

When will the monsoon reach Delhi?

The Meteorological Department has said that it is difficult to predict when the monsoon will reach Delhi. Monsoon will reach western Uttar Pradesh in the next five to six days before reaching Delhi. Here Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh, and northeastern states are likely to receive heavy rains for the next 4-5 days.
