“Fitness is a way of life for me. It’s a mood lifter for a dull day,” shared Kiara Advani in an interview with Vogue India. If you follow her fitness content on Instagram, you will see a diverse mix of regimes—from sweating it out at the gym to working on her kickboxing skills to lifting weights. Advani isn’t here to stick to the basics—not when it comes to her workout routines. Here are five fitness lessons you can learn from her today.

1) Create yourself a gym wardrobe

The first thing you will notice about Advani is her gym wardrobe—you’ll spot vibrant sports bras, leggings, monotone co-ord sets and oversized jackets. A fun gym wardrobe can actually encourage you to get up and workout every day. 2) Find a routine that makes you happy

Advani's workout routine switches between different modalities—but her go-to exercise when she needs to get an efficient exercise session in? Running. “I love to get a 20-minute run in, especially before something important. It gives me a great glow,” she shared in an interview with Vogue India.

3) Try to find time even on the busiest days

Advani took to Instagram to share how she missed out on her martial arts and taekwondo coaching due to the pandemic. But that didn’t stop her from her getting her daily dose of endorphins. She immediately switched to a quick dip in the pool and dancing to exercise her muscles. Advani believes that by mixing up your activities, you give your muscles a chance to rest before putting them into action again.

4) Always challenge yourself

Burpees, squats, cardio, or yoga—she loves doing it all. Also, adding to her list of multidimensional routines is martial arts and taekwondo. She is always up for a challenge and loves taking on a rigorous workout session. Active sessions help with flexibility and also condition the mind and body with strength and stamina.

5) Try going outside

Advani’s fitness trainer, Sohrab Khushrushahi, recently took to Instagram to share Advani’s outdoor fitness session. Instead of doing weights at the gym, Advani wanted to do something outdoors and the trainer got her to do raw functional training that helps develop strength and improves mobility. “You did great for your first RFT workout. And let’s admit, the weather was awesome. To more of these in coming weeks.” he shared.
