This week, while some countries have done away with masks, others are imposing stricter restrictions to curb Covid-19. Amidst such a situation, if you are planning an international trip, keeping track of nation-wise travel restrictions can be a hassle.

Here's a look at international travel rules and guidelines for Covid-19 across the globe.
The United States of America
New York state (including New York City) lifted its restrictions on June 15 as 70% of its adults had received the first dose of their Covid-19 vaccination series. California reopened on the same day.
San Francisco will allow its cable cars to run in August for the first time since the pandemic started.
While America is opening up and loosening its travels restrictions, Canada won't be lifting its travel restrictions anytime soon. On Friday, Canada extended its Covid-19 restrictions on non-essential international and US travel until July 21.
Europe
As per a CNN Travel report, the European Union's governing body has recommended lifting restrictions in the bloc on non-essential travel from 14 countries. These countries are the United States of America, Albania, Australia, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand, Republic of North Macedonia, Rwanda, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and China.
The United Kingdom has however been left behind in the race of tackling Covid-19 causing it to maintain its restrictions. UK's Covid-19 restrictions that were to be lifted on June 21 have been delayed until July 19 due to rising cases of the Delta variant.
Ireland will reopen to the EU, UK and US on July 19. Non-EU unvaccinated travellers will require a negative Covid-19 test. They will then have to self-quarantine until they take a second post-arrival test.
Denmark is welcoming to fully vaccinated travellers from the UK and the US. Norway is letting the fully vaccinated skip quarantine.
The Netherlands is allowing only tourists from "safe countries with a low Covid-19 risk." Iceland had opened its borders to vaccinated travellers back in April 2021. Switzerland plans to reopen itself to vaccinated Americans on June 28.
Middle East
In the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi will end mandatory quarantine for international travellers on July 1.
Asia
Phuket will be reopening over in Thailand on July 1. Mauritius, meanwhile, will allow international visitors from July 15. Singapore's Jewel Changi Airport reopened this week after being closed for a month.
Africa
Morocco reopened to international travellers on June 15. Algeria is slowly and gradually reopening air travel.
