Guna (Madhya Pradesh): Guna district collector Frank Novel A on Saturday terminated service of 3 employees including a doctor and suspended a lab assistant for celebrating a birthday party in Covid-19 lab of the district hospital. The drink party was organised a few days back.
According to information, it was birthday of Vijay Singh, a lab technician at the district hospital. At the party, he celebrated it by cutting cake and consuming alcohol. Videos of the entire incident went viral on Sunday.
The district collector had formed a three-member investigation team. The team included senior doctor Anil Vijayvargiya, Dr Shilpa Tantia and Ashish Saxena of the hospital.
Based on the report submitted by probe panel, the district collector terminated the services of Dr Khagendra Singh, lab technician Vijay Singh and ward boy Gagan Namdev and suspended lab assistant Ashish Bajpai for their act on Saturday.
