Euro 2020 Highlights: Italy 1-0 Wales and Switzerland 3-1 Turkey.

UEFA Euro 2020 Highlights Italy vs Wales and Switzerland vs Turkey: It is the final match for group A as all four teams take the field as both matches will be played simultaneously. Italy lead through Matteo Pessina’s strike in the 39th minute against Wales in Rome. The Azzuri are already through to the last 16, while Wales need a draw to make sure of progressing to the next round and a win would put them through in pole position.

On the other hand, Haris Seferovic gave Switzerland the lead in the 6th minute as Xherdan Shaqiri netted two, in the 26th and 68th minute,  as Irfan Kahveci pulled one back in the 62nd minute for Turkey in Baku.

Joe Allen gives away a foul on Marco Verratti on the right-hand side, as he himself takes the free-kick. He send it into the near post, where Pessina side-foots it into the far corner.

Seferovic takes a shot but it is blocked, as Zuber takes the ball and passes it onto to Shaqiri, who takes a touch to control before whipping a glorious curling effort around Turkish keeper Cakır and inside the near post. That too with his 'weaker' right foot.

KICK OFF! Italy vs Wales and Switzerland vs Turkey gets us underway for the final Group A game.

Italians are already through to the knockout stage and are looking to push their unbeaten run to a record-equalling 30 games.

Wales need a draw to make sure of progressing to the last 16 and a win would put them through as group winners ahead of the Azzurri.

Swiss need a win while needing to better Wales' goal difference to be sure of advancing, with the 2016 semi-finalists playing Italy at the same time in Rome.

Turkey, who have lost their first two games and conceded five goals without scoring, must win if they are to possibly progress as one of the four best third-placed teams.

Here's how the teams from Group A can qualfiy for knockouts...

Italy are through and will top the group if they avoid defeat.

Wales will be confirmed in the top two with a draw or if Switzerland fail to beat Turkey.

Switzerland can finish in the top two if they win and Wales lose – the teams will then be separated on goal difference – but will be eliminated if they lose.

Turkey cannot finish in the top two and must beat Switzerland to come third in the group.

Italy vs Wales

Italy matched a team-record 30-match unbeaten streak by beating Wales 1-0 at the European Championship.

Matteo Pessina scored late in the first half by redirecting a free kick from Marco Verratti.

Wales defender Ethan Ampadu was sent off with a straight red card for stepping on Federico Bernardeschi 10 minutes into the second half.

Italy finished Group A with a perfect nine points. Wales has four points.

The Italians will play the second-place team from Group C at Wembley Stadium in London next Saturday.

The victory also marked Italy’s 11th straight win and clean sheet.

Switzerland vs Turkey

Xherdan Shaqiri scored two goals to give Switzerland a 3-1 victory over Turkey at the European Championship.

The victory might be enough to give the team a spot in the round of 16 as one the best third-place teams.

Winger Steven Zuber assisted on all three of Switzerland’s goals. Haris Seferovic scored the first one.

Irfan Can Kahveci scored Turkey’s goal. It was the team’s first goal of the tournament.

Turkey lost all three of its group matches and has been eliminated.
