Tota gang, including its leader, wanted for a slew of crimes in Delhi-NCR, ranging from illegal water tanker business in the new sectors of the city along Dwarka Expressway to supplying drugs and illicit liquor, kidnapping, robbery and murder, have been arrested by the crime branch of the Gurgaon police.
Gang leader Sushil alias Tota carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head.
Tota and his two gang members — Sunny Dahiya of Dhanwapur and Sumit alias Baba of Bahadurgarh — were arrested by the crime branch from Farukhnagar area on Thursday.
Gurgaon police ACP (crime) Preet Pal Sangwan said that Tota was himself wanted in several cases in Delhi, Gurgaon, Jhajjar and Sonipat, and had been absconding for months.
“Of the gang’s 30 members, seven were arrested in January this year.”
According to Sangwan, the gang ran the illegal water business in Gurgaon’s new sectors, where residents are largely dependent on private tankers for their daily needs.
