The SGPC decided to open a generic medicine store for the needy and initiate steps to preserve the Sikh heritage treasures during the executive body meeting held here today. Besides, new residences would be constructed for priests.

SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur, who chaired the meeting, said the executive had decided to provide medicines at subsidised rates to the needy. “In addition, laboratories will also be set up in these stores which will conduct tests at nominal rates,” she said. — TNS
