Covid cases at 5-month low in Surat

Surat: On Friday, Surat city recorded its lowest new Covid cases in the last five month with just 21 people testing positive for the coronavirus. Also, no Covid-19 death was reported in the city while the central zone of the city reported no new cases.
According to Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) officials, all eight civic zones reported single digit new cases with Rander and Athwa zones recorded leading the tally with six each. Udhna and Varachha (A) zones recorded one case each on Friday.
SMC officials said that 90 Covid-19 patients were discharged from different hospitals in the city. As on Friday, 92 Covid-19 patients were under treatment in different hospitals in the city.
