Lara Dutta starred in many successful Bollywood films such as "No Entry", "Bhagam Bhag", 'Partner" and "Don 2". She was last seen in the film "Welcome To New York" in 2018. Two years later, she revived her career with the action-comedy web series "Hundred" that presented her as a cop.
The former Miss Universe recently replied to a Twitter user who asked her if she got vaccinated. Taking a subtle dig at celebs who posted their jab pictures, Lara wrote, "Yes!!! Just because I didn’t post a picture doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!!"
Lara was the second Indian to win the title after Sushmita Sen. She was crowned tbe 49th Miss Universe in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Later, she entered Bollywood with the film "Andaaz" in 2003.
Lara will next be seen in the film "Bell Bottom", starring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi.
The spy thriller has now been scheduled for a theatrical release on July 27.
The film was earlier scheduled for an April 2021 release but was pushed due to the second wave of Covid-19 in the country.
Besides that, Lara wrapped up the shooting of her upcoming film "Project 23" directed by Kunal Kohli.
Sharing the last shot on Instagram, Dutta wrote, "All good things come to an end…. Or I should say, a rocking beginning!! It’s a wrap on a very special #Project23 for @lionsgateplayin. What a special experience helmed by a VERY sorted director @kunalkohli, a fabulous working environment created by @jar_pictures and the most awesome co-actors, whom I will dearly miss!"
Talking about adapting to the new normal, she told IANS: "It is an ongoing process. Everyone is really adapting to the new normal. I completed an entire film, and am working on a series. So, life goes on. You have to learn to function within what is now called ‘the new normal'. The children have been really adaptable. (The pandemic) has made one question your priorities in life and the things that are really important to you, which is why what we expose our children to right now, gathers even more importance than before."
