Ratlam: Indian Medical Association (IMA) Ratlam unit observed, ëProtest Dayí to protest against violent attacks on doctors, hospital and duty staff.
IMA's Ratlam unit demanded enactment of a very strong legislation to deal with cases of assault against Doctors, Hospital and staff. The Indian Medical Association apex body had announced a nationwide protest on Friday against the instances of violence against healthcare professionals.
IMA Ratlam unit office bearers and members submitted a memorandum addressed to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to Ratlam city MLA Chetanya Kashyap on Friday.
MLA Kashyap assured IMA Ratlam unit members that while sending memorandum to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Union health minister Dr Harshvardhan, he will advocate for initiating move for a stronger enactment to discourage violent activities against doctors, hospital and their staff.
IMA Ratlam unit secretary Dr S S Gupta in a press release stated that that memorandum was submitted by IMA Ratlam unit president Dr Vipin Maheshwari.
Dr JM Subhedar, Dr Pradeep Banerji, Dr Sunil Rathore, Dr Asha Saraf, Dr Purnima Subhedar, Dr Nilesh Wadhwani, Dr Manisha Maheshwari, Dr Richendra Sisodia, Dr Sunita Wadhwani, Dr Manish Gupta, Dr Rahul Patidar, Dr Lalit Jaiswal, Dr Abhishek Arora, Dr Yash Jaiswal, Dr Rachit Agrawal, Dr Chinmay Chincholkar, Dr Anil Kumawat and others were present.
