Hi,
Microsoft Antimalware Service Executable or MsMpEng.exe is consuming all of internet bandwidth.
(Refer to the image, it's 300mbps of 300mbps screen shot did not get that)
Why? Should I kill it?

You can’t kill it. See the source file starting the process and see if it is not Microsoft corporation. It could be a virus posing as a microsoft process.
see if you happen to transfer any data through network

I have a duplicate file scanner running on my nas. Just to debug this problem I've capped it's speed to 200mbpl. But this thing is going beyond that upto 315mbps.

Its the crap defender. It hogs our server resources as well which are unmanaged. Only solution is to install 3rd party av and disable defender permanently from group policy etc.
Use tools like netlimiter and cap its bandwidth usage to under 1mbp

Ok, pausing the duplicate file scanner does stop it's(MsMpEng.exe) network usage.
But why or how was it's speed even more than that of the NAS ? And why was it equal to my net speed?
