New Delhi, June 18

The SC on Friday refused to direct universities to cancel or postpone final-year PG medical examinations, saying it could not pass such a general order to all universities.

Petitioners had demanded cancellation or postponement of final-year PG medical examinations on the grounds that the examinee-doctors had been engaged in Covid duty.

The Bench said it was not going to allow doctors to be promoted without appearing for the examination. — TNS
