Mumbai: Police arrest 21-yr-old man with country made revolvers, magazines

MUMBAI: The city crime branch on Friday arrested a 21-year-old Madhya Pradesh resident and seized 10 country made revolvers, two magazines and six live rounds from him. However, two others who were talking to the accused at the spot, managed to run away from there.
Police said that it had arrested three people last year and seized two firearms and two live rounds from them. While further probing last year’s case , they learnt about the involvement of one Lakhan Singh, who had a role in the crime.
On Friday, police laid at the eastern Express Highway to nab a person who came there to sell firearms. Two more people joined him. Soon after the police team nabbed the 21-year-old, the two others ran away from there. A case under the Arms Act was registered with the Navghar police station in Mulund. Further probe is on.
