One in every four cars sold in the C-segment market in India is a Ford IKON. The car for those with josh, continuing its successful run, has registered an impressive market share of 24 per cent for calendar year 2001 in this segment. In July 2001, Ford India sold 3,463 Ford IKONs, including domestic sales of 1,103 Ford IKONs and export of 2,360 Ford IKON CKDs. The July 2001 sales reflect an increase of 15.7 per cent over June 2001 sales. With the sales in July 2001, the Ford IKON has registered an impressive 130 per cent growth over sales in July 2000. The Ford IKON continues to be the customer favourite with over 48,515 Ford IKONs sold since its launch in November 1999.
