Ramkripa Ananthan Resigns As M&M Chief Of Design

She was associated with Mahindra and Mahindra for over two decades

Ramkripa Ananthan quits as the Chief of Design at Mahindra and Mahindra. She will be leaving the office in November 2021, as per the statement by the company.

Rajeshwar Tripathi, chief of people officer informed the employees, “We announce with regret that Kripa, Chief of Design AFS has decided to explore opportunities outside of Mahindra Group. On our request, she has agreed to be with us till November 2021.”

Shortly before her withdrawal, automobile designer Pratap Bose joined the Mahindra Group to head the newly formed Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) centre in the West Midlands, the U.K. Till recently Bose was Vice President, design at Tata Motors.

In her twenty years-long stints at Mahindra and Mahindra, she has led the design of Mahindra TUV 300, XUV 500, KUV 100, TUV300 SUVs and the Marazzo MPV. She was part of the team involved in designing the Bolero and Scorpio. She is a graduate from IDC, IIT-B and a Mechanical Engineering from BITS, Pilani

Her resignation has come after a mass departure of senior and mid-level executives from M&M. As per the reports Mahindra Group has let off around 300 senior-level executives in the Automotive and Farm Equipment divisions.

VS Parthasarathy, President of Mobility Services Sector and Member of the Group Executive Board resigned from his post in April 2021, ending his two-decades-long association with the firm.
