Randeep Datta, PMG, IGP, Manipur and Nagaland Sector inaugurated Up-Graded Badminton Court of Group Centre, CRPF, Imphal on June 14, 2021 at 1100 Hrs. The Badminton Court has now been up-graded with Synthetic Yonex mate. Randeep Datta, PMG, IGP, Manipur and Nagaland Sector was Chief Guest of the function and Ritu Datta, Chairman, RCWA, Manipur and Nagaland Sector was Co-Guest. Inaugural match was played between Isha Datta, daughter of Randeep Datta, PMG, IGP and Kim Koreng W/O HC/GD S.R. Koreng of GC, CRPF, Agartala. Miss Isha Datta won the match and Kim Koreng was runner up. Dinesh, Commandant, GCO, GC, CRPF, Imphal, all Officers, Subordinated Officers, Jawans were present on the occasion.
Randeep Datta, PMG, IGP, Manipur & Nagaland Sector in his inaugural speech encouraged and emphasized all Officers, Subordinated Officers, Jawans and their family members of the Campus and advised to participate in sports to keep themselves fit and healthy and utilize Up-graded Badminton Court for the purpose.
He also said that "Fitness has always been an integral part of our culture. But there is different attitude towards fitness issues now a days. A few decades ago, a normal person walk 8-10 km in a day, do cycling or run. But due to technology, physical activity has reduced up to great extent and we walk very less now. The relationship of success and fitness is also interlinked and most successful people are fit. He emphasized all Officers, all Subordinated Officers, Jawans and their family members to use newly up-graded Badminton Court and play game to keep them fit.
