South African tennis ace Lloyd Harris bowed out of the Halle ATP event at the quarter-final stage on Friday.

Harris, 24, went down in straight sets to Georgian world No 30 Nikoloz Basilashvili, losing 6-4, 7-6 (7/5).

The Capetonian served for the second set at 5-4 but dropped his serve from 30-0 up, before going down in the tiebreak.

Harris, the current world No 51, will now shift his focus to next week's event in Mallorca, Spain.

It will be the final grass court warm-up tournament before Wimbledon starts on 28 June.
