Thane to organise vaccination drive for 30-44 age group starting June 19

Thane: The Thane Municipal Corporation on Friday announced that the civic body will launch a COVID-19 vaccination drive for beneficiaries above 30 years of age on June 19, Saturday.
Citizens aged between 30 years and 44 years can get the jab at several centres across the city by booking their slot on the CoWIN app or by walk-in registration.
"Vaccination for citizens in the age group of 30 to 44 years will be organised in Thane starting June 19. Mayor Naresh Mhaske and TMC Commissioner Dr Vipin Sharma have urged beneficiaries to get themselves vaccinated against the virus," the civic body stated.
Citizens who book their vaccination slots online can get the jab at Thane Global Hospital, Parking Plaza and Viviana mall from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Those who opt for offline registration can walk in at Apla Davakhana Anandnagar, Apla Davakhana Rabodi, Diva vaccination centre, Kausa health centre and Roza Gardenia health centre any time between 11 am and 4 pm and get themselves immunized.
The inoculation drive for those above the age of 45 years will function as per the normal schedule at rest of the vaccination centres.
Meanwhile, a special COVID-19 vaccination drive will also be organised for the transgender community in Thane on June 19.
