Regé-Jean Page has shared how his family reacted to his NSFFV (not safe for family viewing) scenes in Bridgerton.

If you don't know by now, the 31-year-old played Simon Bassett, the Duke of Hastings, in the Netflix hit period drama.

Regé-Jean and his co-star Phoebe Dyneor, who plays Daphne Bridgerton, had several intimate sex scenes.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said that his family was overwhelmed watching the steamy scenes.

"I think people were grateful for the intensity of the romantic aspects of Bridgerton; I'm not sure how grateful I was to watch it for myself. It was overwhelming. But I think people were looking to be overwhelmed. My family doesn't want to be overwhelmed by my backside, specifically, too often, but they'll take it on this occasion because everyone seems to be terribly happy."

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Regé-Jean also revealed that his family posted "flash red light emojis" signalling scenes to avoid in the family WhatsApp group.

He joked, "We've got a family WhatsApp group, so there's a couple flashing red light emojis, and there's the odd peach emoji — certain people have threatened to rate my peach."
