New Delhi, Jun 18 (UNI) The Delhi High Court on Friday warned that Covid protocol violation will hasten third wave and directed the authorities to take strict measures against people flouting the guidelines post ease of restrictions in the national capital.
The court said this after reviewing photos in which people were seen violating Covid-19 safety norms in the national capital after Delhi unlocked.
A vacation bench of Justices Navin Chawla and Asha Menon asked authorities to take strict measures against violators and sensitise shopkeepers.
"We have paid a huge price in the second wave. We don't know if there is any household which has not suffered in the second wave, closely or remotely," the High Court observed.
The bench also issued notices to the Centre and Delhi government and sought a status report in the matter.
It listed the matter for July 9.
