World Environment Day and Vanmahotsava 2021

As in the past, the state's Forest Department will be celebrating the World Environment Day and Vanmahotsava 2021 with a mass plantation drive.

In connection with the upcoming event, the department has urged interested persons, local clubs, voluntary organisations, institutions, etc., to apply for needed seedlings from the department's website forest.manipurforest.gov.in.

Offline applications for seedlings can also be considered where internet facility is not available, said a release issued by principal chief conservator of forests Dr AK Joshi.

It also informed that the seedlings would be distributed to the public, local clubs, organisations, etc., from June 3 till August 7 from various nurseries located in the state.
