Tripura government extends Covid curfew in 12 municipal bodies till June 25

Tripura has extended the Covid 19 curfew in 12 municipal bodies including Agartala Municipal Corporation till June 25 to control the spread of Covid-19 cases.

Tripura has extended the Covid 19 curfew in 12 municipal bodies including Agartala Municipal Corporation till June 25 to control the spread of Covid-19 cases.

However, the government has lifted the night curfew in the villages from 6 pm to 5 am. The curfew was initially imposed in Tripura on May 16 and since then it has been extended in several phases; finally, it was going to end on June 18.

In a notification issued by Chief Secretary Alok Kumar, the Kovid curfew will apply from June 19 to June 25 in the jurisdiction of Agartala Municipal Corporation and 11 other urban bodies. These include Mohanpur, Ranibazar, Udaipur, Vishalgarh, Kumarghat, Kailashahar, Panisagar, Khowai, Belonia, Shantibazar Municipal Council and Jirania Nagar Panchayat.
