Greater Noida: Requests of allottees seeking more time for making various payments will be discussed at the next Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) board meeting, officials said. Because of the pandemic and lockdown several residents have not been able to make payments and some families wanting to sell their properties were unable to complete the transfer of memorandum formalities despite making the payments. For transferring a property to a buyer GNIDA takes a certain amount of the property value, according to the size of the plot or flat. However, all formalities have to be completed within 90 days of applying. Apart from water supply charges, allottees also have to pay lease rent, land premium instalments, conversion charges and additional compensation among other things. A resident of Sector Zeta, Nitin Srivastava, said: “The allottees should be offered time till September 30 like last year so that they can clear all dues and complete formalities.”
