After several delays due to the second wave of COVID-19 in India, Hyundai has finally launched the much-awaited Alcazar in the Indian market. The all-new Alcazar is the brand’s newest seven-seater SUV. It is available with petrol and diesel engine options and the price starts at Rs 16.3, ex-showroom, Delhi. Below is the detailed price list of the car.
Hyundai had started taking the bookings for the Alcazar officially sometime back. The manufacturer reveals that Hyundai has received more than XX bookings on the newest model in the market. Hyundai has already started dispatching the model to the dealerships and delivery should begin soon.
The all-new Alcazar is fully loaded with features just like all other Hyundai cars in the market. Design-wise, it offers a premium feel with a new massive grille. The shape of the headlamps are similar to the Hyundai Creta but the design of the headlamps is quite different. The Alcazar gets massive 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The Alcazar name refers to the Spanish castles. The Alcazar will target image-consciousness customers who want the latest and innovative features. The aim is to target the new-age young customers in the market.
Hyundai Alcazar six trim levels
Hyundai is offering as many as six trims Prestige, Prestige(O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature and Signature (O). While both petrol and diesel engine options are available with all the trim levels, only the (O) variants get the automatic transmission option.
There are a host of segment-first features. As standard, Hyundai will offer LED setup for trio-headlamps, Daytime Running Lamps, tail lamps and positioning lamps. The Alcazar gets a 7-inch digital supervision cluster as standard while the higher variants will get a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. The panoramic sunroof is also be offered as a standard.
There is a smart key with push-button to start/stop, remote engine start, a sliding sun visor, cruise control, fully automatic climate control, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rearview mirrors, wireless charger and a lot more. There is also a perforated leather-wrapped D-cut steering wheel and gear knob.
Hyundai Alcazar engine options
The all-new Hyundai Alcazar will offer a powerful 2.0-litre Nu petrol engine. It is the third-generation engine from the Nu family that also powers the Hyundai Elantra. It generates a maximum power of 159 PS and a peak torque of 191 Nm. It makes the Alcazar much more powerful than the Creta.
Alcazar’s petrol engine is extremely smooth and is powerful enough to push the massive vehicle to over 100 km/h in under 10 seconds. There will be a diesel engine option too. It will be the same 1.5-litre diesel that also powers the Creta and it will generate a maximum power of 115 PS and a peak torque of 250 Nm.
