Ukraine beat North Macedonia 2-1 with Yarmolenko and Yaremchuk’s first-half goals proving enough. Alioski got North Macedonia back into the game after missing the penalty but scoring the rebound but Ukraine were able to pull through. Ukraine score their second goal within five minutes of the first as Yaremchuk gives a good finish to a brilliant through ball. After a few missed chances, Ukraine finally take a 1-0 lead as Yarmolenko finds the back of the net from a corner kick.
Denmark vs Belgium
Kevin de Bruyne inspired Belgium to a 2-1 win over Denmark after coming on a half-time substitute. With the win, Belgium qualified for the Round of 16. He played a crucial role in both the goals as he assisted the first and scored the second. De Bruyne’s entry livened up the Belgian attack and they developed a far more threatening movement, where there was some slick passing that led to two beautiful goals. Thorgan Hazard scored Belgium’s first after Poulsen had given Denmark the lead in the second minute.
Netherlands vs Austria
Memphis Depay’s early penalty set the Netherlands on the way to a 2-0 win over Austria in Amsterdam on Thursday, their second straight victory at Euro 2020 securing qualification for the last 16 already as winners of Group C.
Depay made no mistake from the spot in the 11th minute after David Alaba’s foul on Denzel Dumfries was spotted by the Israeli referee only after he had come across to review the images.
Dumfries, so impressive in the thrilling opening 3-2 win over Ukraine, added another midway through the second half, his second goal of the tournament.
