There was a big leakage in an acid-laden truck going from Brahmapur in Odisha to Kolkata.
The truck carrying acid started leaking near Champagarh. The fire brigade team has reached the spot to control the leak. Traffic on the national highway has come to a standstill after the incident.
This incident happened around 8:30. Firefighters were sprinkling water on the acid tanker to bring the situation under control. The news of the acid leak spread panic in the surrounding areas. However, there is no report of any loss of life or property in this accident.

An official said that acid leaked from the tanker due to a faulty valve. After this, the whole area was filled with smoke. No one was hurt and the tanker was on its way from Brahmapur to Kolkata carrying hydrochloric acid.
