Former Height for Hire sales manager Ross O’Neill has set up a new access rental company in Ireland, Muster Platforms.
O’Neill spent close to six years with Height for Hire before being laid off when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Prior to that he worked with telecommunications company Telefonica for three years. His new company is based on the Monoclinoe industrial estate in Limerick and will provide boom and scissor lifts with working heights from 4.5 to 26 metres throughout Ireland. The company has also said it also hopes to add self-drive truck mounted platforms to its fleet in the future.

O’Neill said: “I enjoyed a fantastic career with Height for Hire and have Harry and Fergus McArdle to thank for giving me my opportunity to get into the industry. This year took some unexpected turns, along with being made redundant, due to the impact of the Covid-19 crisis. After a conversation with my wife Caroline, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use the skillsets I learned to achieve this dream. With a good working knowledge of the industry and plenty of contacts I thought now was the perfect time to make Munster Platforms a name that everyone thinks of when they need an access machine.”
