A woman has wowed TikTok with her incredible hack for ensuring your popcorn is evenly buttered at the movies — and all you need is a plastic straw.
Colleen Lepp, who is known as @colleenlepp on the platform, went viral this week after sharing a video in which she demonstrates how to use a straw to properly distribute liquid butter so it reaches every kernel, not just the ones on the top.
The Florida native filmed herself sticking a straw in the middle of the popcorn bucket and lining it up with the butter dispenser, saying that's the trick to spreading it throughout the tub.

'I love buttered popcorn, but I hate when the butter is only at the top,' she explained in the video. 'So I use a plastic straw all the way down in the popcorn bucket to get the butter to the very bottom and all the way through.'
'It takes a minute lining it up,' she added, 'but once you do, you are good to go.'
Colleen said her aunt taught her the hack when she was 'really little,' and she has 'been using it ever since.'
The video has been viewed more than 5.3 million times in just three days, and some people were admittedly blown away.
'This is genius!' one fan wrote, while another added: 'Oh my God I really want to go to the movies...just to try that.'

Some were concerned that the butter would just pool at the bottom, but Colleen explained that the key is to move the straw up and down to distribute.
Others admitted the great lengths they have gone to make sure they have enough butter, with one person asking: 'Am I the only one who gets a courtesy cup for extra butter?'
A number of people told Colleen to just ask the concession stand employees to layer the butter for her, but she said that is no longer an option at her local movie theater because of COVID-19 precautions.
The TikToker also stressed that she didn't invent the hack, which has been featured in a 2016 episode of Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and a 2014 video on the Dude Perfect YouTube channel.
'I do this it really works,' one person commented.
'The one true life hack! I put three different straws at three different sections and heights to get butter in all the levels,' another shared.
